Nevada County Celebration of Trails Day Fair today was a success. Thanks to all the folks who participated, it was awesome to see groups and businesses who support the outdoors and trails gathered in one spot.
Two events this week are poised to push Nevada County trails past the “tipping point” from a loosely organized grassroots effort to a unified system with county leadership.
A youth nature outing that sent 30 special needs kids to Black Swan Preserve was recognized by a Rotary Club competition.
BYLT teamed up with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County and North Lake Tahoe and Gold Country Fly Fishers for a day of hiking, fishing and picnicking.
Members of the Nevada Union basketball team, parents, teachers and Rotarians spent the day with the young people hiking to the pond, fishing, and having lunch.
