To me, Nevada County is an inspiring place to live because it is full of ordinary people doing extraordinary things. I am proud of the grassroots efforts that are visible everywhere throughout the county. All of the outstanding non-profit organizations in our region exist because people support them. I want to thank those people for their contributions.
The City of Nevada City and Bear Yuba Land Trust (BYLT) invite the community to a public workshop to share input on three proposed routes for the upcoming Sugarloaf Trail – a trail that will connect the iconic Sugarloaf Mountain and town with user-friendly, safe and legal access.
Throughout the month of October, a number of fun activities and events are on tap to get people outdoors as part of BYLT’s campaign to raise awareness and support for trails. All donated dollars for trails will be doubled by a local donor, up to $60,000, giving the land trust the potential to raise $120,000 for community trails this year.
