Get off the couch with BYLT’s 7th annual Turkey Trek
With Thanksgiving around the corner, it’s time for Bear Yuba Land Trust’s 7th Annual Turkey Trek.
This free, self-guided outing will take place on BYLT’s newest one-mile loop trail, Yewei’im Bom at the beautiful Burton Homestead Preserve. Completed in the spring, the trail traverses a variety of landscapes such as meadow, chaparral, mixed conifer, and riparian areas. A type of mining known as ground sluicing was practiced on this property during the Gold Rush and evidence of Native Americans in the area dates back to 5,000 years ago.
THIS TREK IS WEATHER DEPENDENT
Difficulty: Easy, one mile.
Cost: FREE – Registration NOT required.
