Fireside Chat: Camp Kitchen Cuisine

Come camping with us!

The Fireside Chat series continues with our community partners Folk Trails Hiking Club and Inn Town Campground.

Ready to spice up your camp-food life? Join self-proclaimed camp chef Nick Somers from Mountain Recreation for a deliciously informative Fireside Chat. Nick’s chat on Backpacking Basics in June was such a hit, we are thrilled to bring him back. We will discuss camp kitchen essentials, how to choose the right cook system, ration planning for longer trips and Leave No Trace techniques specific to a backcountry kitchen. Part of the evening will focus on freeze-dried food options, quick Do-It-Yourself meal recipes and how to stay fueled on the trail.  With opportunities to sample some of our camp kitchen cuisine, this Fireside Chat will be a feast of knowledge.

This is a great opportunity to pitch a tent or go “glamping” at the Inn Town Campground with family and friends at a reduced price. If not camping, please park outside the campground gates and walk in. We’ll be by the campfire.
