2012 Trails Appeal:  Help BYLT Secure $20,000 in Matching Funds to Build Local Trails

Breathtaking vistas, oak forests, golden hillsides, rich farmland and scenic rivers and creeks – Nevada County has it all! Community trails allow us to share these wonderful landscapes for recreation, education and inspiration.

Trails_Campaign_web.jpgBear Yuba Land Trust (BYLT) is raising $40,000 to build new trails in western Nevada County. You can now leverage the impact of your next gift. A generous private donor has come forward with an inspiring challenge – he will double every dollar you give to build local trails, up to $20,000. Big gifts, small gifts…all are important in this effort.

A gift of $50 would become $100. A gift of $1,000 would become $2,000.

The Land Trust has built over 22 miles of trails which are used by hikers, runners, mountain bikers, equestrians and wheelchair users. We have done so much, but there are many more trails to build!

BYLT staff, including award-winning trail building expert Bill Haire and more recent staff addition Larry Gruver, partner organizations like BONC and FTA, and volunteers work together to build and maintain our local trails. Nevada County is one of only two counties in California that does not have a Parks and Recreation Department or Open Space District, so local tax dollars are not provided for trail construction or trail easements. Our trails are only possible with your support.

Please help Bear Yuba Land Trust secure $20,000 in matching funds and reach our goal of $40,000 to build local trails for our community! Make your tax-deductible gift today and take advantage of this opportunity to make your gift go further. Every dollar you give to build local trails will be doubled.
