One great thing about the local trail community is that many of the trail building and advocacy groups work together. It takes a coordinated effort to continue developing Nevada City and Grass Valley into trail towns.
BYLT will host a cleanup site near the new Yuba Rim Trail on Rice’s Crossing Preserve. Volunteers will clean up trash, discarded tires, plastic and a hot tub dumped long ago down a steep hillside near the new trail. Volunteers will work with BYLT to fit whatever they can into a truck trailer.
“We’re so excited to be partnering with community businesses who support our vision for youth. Earlier this year, we hired new Youth Program Director Christy McCracken and ever since have been working to step it up a notch with the programming we offer to local families…” said Development and Program Manager Melony Vance.
