3 guest writers to present at March 17 Yuba Lit event in Grass Valley

March Yuba Lit Poster - 2016-03-17Three special guest authors are set for Yuba Lit’s fourth community reading event 7 p.m. March 17 at The Open Book, 671 Maltman Drive, Grass Valley.

Sri Lankan novelist Nayomi Munaweera, Grass Valley short story writer Dmitri Keriotis and Nevada City novelist Ben Preston are scheduled to read from their works at the gathering, open to the public.

In addition to the three featured readers, audience members are encouraged to bring a page or a poem for our opening flash readings.

Any audience member who brings a poem or a page will be given a raffle ticket; five readers will be drawn from the raffle, and each one drawn will be given the mike for three minutes to read his or her work.

The $5 cover, payable in cash at the door, benefits the Bear Yuba Land Trust.

Locally produced wine from Szabo and Sierra Starr wineries will be served.
