Outreach and Events: Open Spaces and Wild Places Gala & Awards

Volunteer Registration

Join BYLT for the biggest fundraiser of the year! The Open Spaces and Wild Places Gala joins land stewards together for the continued protection of land in the Bear and Yuba Watersheds, and celebrates local outdoor conservation and recreation heroes.

Volunteers will meet at the Miners Foundry, located at 325 Spring Street in Nevada City; follow the parking signs to your designated volunteer parking area. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled shift so you can check in at the volunteer booth, locate your shift leader, and transition smoothly into your assigned task. There will be a special volunteer lounge with food and beverages; volunteers are encouraged to refresh before or after a shift, but not during. Volunteers will earn a Outreach and Events button for this event.

When you are volunteering at the gala you will be representing Bear Yuba Land Trust; so, it is especially important that interaction with guests are pleasant and friendly! Please bring plenty of water, wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes with good tread, preferably black, and white and black attire (pants, shorts, skirt, blouse, button down shirt, dress NO LOGOS, stripes and patterns okay) that you can comfortably move in.
