Celebration of Trails Poetry on Preserves
Poetry Reading & Writing Workshop w
ith Meredith Heller

Join Poetry on Preserves poet, Meredith Heller, for a reading of select poems including her Celebration of Trails commissioned poem, “Huntress of the Holy Sound.” Rice’s Crossing Preserve is serenely situated along the Middle Yuba River, and was only recently opened up to the public. Come be inspired by the natural beauty and the sounds of the river as Meredith reads from her latest poetry collection and leads the group in a poetry workshop inspired by the surroundings. Please bring water, a snack, hat, sunscreen, and something to comfy to sit on. Writing journal and pencil will be provided. 

Meredith Heller is a poet, author, singer/songwriter, avid nature lover, and educator with degrees in writing and education. She leads workshops at schools, women’s prisons, the Institute for Poetic Medicine, the Kennedy Center for the Arts, the National Association for Poetry Therapy, wellness retreats, creativity summits, and online. Her passion is empowering people to believe in themselves, trust their creative instincts, tap their wild wisdom, express their truth, and ignite their hearts. Her poems and essays appear in numerous literary magazines and collections.
