Join BYLT for a Restoration Crew workday at the Bartolucci Pollinator Meadow! Meet at the BYLT office, 12183 Auburn Road to carpool to the site, located off Indian Springs Road; please arrive at least 15 minutes early to fill out liability forms. Tasks for the day include watering plants and weed whacking if necessary. Volunteers will earn a Restoration Crew button for this event.
BYLT recently planted 600 pollinator plants to revitalize a piece of land into a pollinator meadow. For the first year the plants need to be watered to help with root growth and establishment. Thanks to volunteer support, the pollinator meadow has been thriving as the pollinator plants receive much-necessary water during the summer months. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about native pollinator plants in the area and how meadows are beneficial to pollinator species.
Safety: Wear a long sleeve shirt, pants, work shoes/boots and gloves. Please come prepared with plenty of water, snacks and everything you need to have a fun, safe workday. BYLT will provide the tools and expertise needed to complete the work. If you have a watering can, please bring it. If you have any questions or comments please email email@example.com.
