Trail Stewardship Team: Independence Trail

Join BYLT, California State Parks and the South Yuba River Parks Association (SYRPA) out on the land for a trail workday on Independence Trail on Thursday, May 30th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm; please arrive at least 15 minutes early to fill out liability forms. Meet at the Independence Trail trailhead off of HWY 49, outside of Nevada City. If you are unfamiliar with the trailhead, please visit BYLT’s Trails Portal. Volunteers will earn a Trail Stewardship Team button for this event.

Tasks for the day include removing invasive plants, improving the trail tread and drainage as well as cutting back brush from the trail corridor

Safety: Wear long sleeve shirts, trousers, work shoes/boots, and gloves. Please come prepared with plenty of water, a lunch, and everything you need to have a fun, safe work day.
