**CANCELLED** Volunteer Training: Trail Stewardship Team & Restoration Crew

**Due to public health and safety concerns from the COVID-19 pandemic, Bear Yuba Land Trust will be canceling community gatherings and volunteer days through May 1st, as guided by Governor Newsom’s executive order issued yesterday. Please email outreach@bylt.org with your questions or comments at this time.**
Are you interested in learning more about Bear Yuba Land Trust? Are you passionate about maintaining local trails or stewarding open space? Come participate in the Volunteer Training for the Trail Stewardship Team and Restoration Crew volunteer programs!
The volunteer training for the TST & RC volunteer programs will be held on Saturday, March 21st from 10:00am-12:30pm. Meet at the Wolf Creek Trailhead located off Freeman Lane, between Tripp’s Auto Body and Jamba Juice, in Grass Valley; look for the BYLT silver truck. During the training, volunteers will learn more about the Trail Stewardship Team and Restoration Crew programs, the role BYLT plays in stewarding lands and trails and volunteers will practice applying trail maintenance and restoration techniques.
9:45am-10:00am– Volunteers meet at the Wolf Creek Trailhead, fill out liability forms
10:00-11:00– Guided hike along Wolf Creek Trail- BYLT staff gives overview of the Land Trust and volunteer programs
11:00-12:30– Practical skills/application with Wolf Creek Community Alliance
12:30– Gather and recap of day

Please wear a long sleeve shirt and pants, work boots and anything else you need to have a comfortable experience. Bring a water bottle and snacks. All tools will be provided by BYLT. If you have any questions, contact felicia@bylt.org or (530) 272-5994 x 207.
