Litton Trail: Connecting Communities

The Litton Trail is a beautiful hiking trail in the heart of Grass Valley. It winds through the forest and offers a convenient route to schools and business and serves to connect neighborhoods. In 1996, the paved section from Hughes Rd to Sierra College Dr was completed and opened to the public, marking it as the first trail project completed by the Land Trust. In 2003, the trail was expanded, connecting Eskaton Village and Ridge Rd to the existing trail. Decades later, this trail continues to be a vital community asset. Throughout the years, the paved portion has been degraded and is in need of upgrading. Our vision is to repave the trail section between Hughes Rd and Sierra College Dr to meet the needs of the community well into the future.

The City of Grass Valley has dedicated $30,000 towards the project, which is located on City property and BYLT Trail Easements. The total project cost is $60,000. To date, BYLT has raised $24,400, including $3,400 generated from the 2020 Trails Appeal. That means $5,600 is still needed to repave Litton Trail. HELP US MEET OUR GOAL! Will you consider donating to repave this beautiful community trail?
